GDPR – New Data Regulations
JDM Driving School are registering with the regulation authority in respect of the changes to the law on data protection. We will place a full and compliant statement on this website when the process is complete. Delays to this process have been caused because of problems accessing the government website.
However, we can assure all inquirers and customers that we only use your name and contact details to make/cancel or rearrange the appointments you wish to take with us. We do not share such information with third parties and we do not use it to market our own company or anyone else.
Our cars may be fitted with Dash-Cams which film incidents that occur on the road during driving lessons. These are not shared or stored until such a time that evidence is needed by an insurer, solicitor or the police. We will not post anything to social media without your consent. Recordings are routinely taped over by the normal function of the equipment used and therefore not kept in any form for longer than a few weeks.
Contact information is stored in the enquiries log in the proprietor’s private office or the personal diary of the instructor responsible for your lessons and this is not available to the public domain.
Rest assured, JDM Driving School take your privacy seriously, but we are in an environment of one-to-one tuition and sometimes it may be necessary to contact you, for example, if an instructor is unable to work because of illness or traffic incident.
